SAN FRANCISCO CHINATOWN
Glendy and Sean drove up from Los Angeles for their Chinatown photoshoot, drawn to the way the neighborhood layers history, color, and city texture into a few blocks. We treated it less like a session and more like a long walk. They led, we followed, sometimes pausing for the shot and sometimes just letting them get lost in conversation while we worked around them. Chinatown rewards that kind of pace.
The lanterns, the painted signage, the alleys you only notice when you slow down enough to look. By the time we wrapped, we had a gallery that felt closer to a short documentary than a traditional engagement shoot.
Treat an engagement shoot like a hangout, people will stop noticing the camera and their true selves shine through the lens.
